The Eat Them To Defeat Them campaign was created to encourage people to eat more vegetables, and inspire a change in attitude towards vegetables, in order to help tackle the rise in diet-related illnesses in the UK.

As part of the campaign, the last week of January saw Olive host veg pop-up stands in each of its ITV staff restaurants that provided employees with samples of fresh vegetables, along with the opportunity to learn more about healthy eating and nutrition. Olive’s juice bars were also available at the pop-up stands to offer a range of fresh juices.
In addition to the pop-up stands, Olive will be featuring a nominated ‘vegetable of the week’ that will be included throughout the menu from January to inspire people with fresh and exciting ways to serve vegetables. Olive’s Food Innovation team has created menus for the campaign, including hot food options, a range of salads, sandwich fillings and a grab-and-go selection that feature the designated vegetable of the week.
Angela Linsky, operations and service delivery manager (North) at ITV, added: “Studies have shown that 80% of adults do not eat enough vegetables, so it’s important that we show how vegetables can be prepared in new ways and enjoyed by all in every meal.
