Abstract
Westminster Kingsway College's (WKC) former sugarcraft student Cris Muldoon has been awarded two top awards at the Cake International 2008 event.
Muldoon picked up a gold medal for her Miniature Sugar Flower Display and a silver medal for her Floral Sugarcraft in the main competition at the event. The winning student commented on her achievement: "I spent over two days preparing my entries for the competitions at the show so it was a lot of hard work. I really enjoy it when all of your entries are ready for the competition – and especially when you win an award!" Muldoon has progressed at Westminster Kingsway from the Introductory and Intermediate Cake Decoration courses through to the Introductory and Intermediate Wired Sugar Flowers courses. During her time at WKC, Mouldoon has entered several competitions and was been successful with her floral cake decorations winning a silver medal at Hotelympia earlier this year.
