Abstract
As part of Winterhalter UK’s expansion plans, the warewashing total solutions company is relaunching its service operation as a separate division within the company, as it explores new areas.

Headed by the initiative’s newly appointed managing director, Kieran Lynch – who has extensive background in service management having worked with Whitbread, Laura Ashley, Pizza Hut, Tesco and Starbucks - the plan includes increasing the size of Winterhalter’s existing operations, and developing a number of long-term growth opportunities.

Managing director, Stephen Kinkead said: “By creating a separate Winterhalter service division we believe we will be better able to focus on developing its full potential.

“Our continued investment in new technology, such as the recent launches of ‘Connected Wash’ and ‘Pay Per Wash’, demonstrates Winterhalter’s commitment to remain at the forefront of technological innovation in our industry.”

Upon joining the company on 1 August 2017, Lynch will report directly to Kinkead as he attempts to expand the business through organic growth and by broadening the company’s reach into compatible markets.

He said: “I’m keen to drive service standards through innovation and collaboration with business partners, dealers and end users.”

Winterhalter’s decision follows the company’s extensive review of the total UK catering market and other allied sectors, such as the bakery industry.
