Best Breakfast Awards Week 2015 Phil Vickery
Abstract
Voting is now open for the Best Breakfast Awards and organisers, the Home-Grown Cereal Authority (HGCA), are urging eateries to sign up their breakfast dishes.

Next year’s Breakfast Week will take place on January 25-30th and the winners of the Best Breakfast Awards will be announced then.

TV chef, Phil Vickery, is supporting Break Week 2015 and will join the HGCA to present a special award for the most unique or innovative dish.

Karen Levy, from organisers HGCA, said: “The Best Breakfast Awards were a great success and highlight the growing out of the home market for breakfast. We are excited to be running the awards for a second year and look forward to receiving entries from even more venues this year!”

Breakfast Week is now in its 16th year and aims to raise awareness of the importance of eating breakfast. Research shows that over 104 million breakfasts are eaten outside of the home.

Keith Gurney, from The Tavern Company, overall winner of last year’s awards, said: “We entered the Best Breakfast Awards after hearing about it on the local radio. It was a great way to get our valued customers to show their appreciation for oue breakfast menu and we were delighted with the local support we had.”

Entries for the awards closes on January 16th 2015, with public voting open from December 1st 2014 through to January 18th 2015. Participants wanting to enter should visit www.shakeupyourwakeup.com.
