Abstract
VegfestUK, the organiser behind vegan consumer shows in Bristol, Brighton and London, has launched VegfestUK Trade, the UK’s first dedicated vegan trade show taking place on October 20th, 2017 at exhibition centre Olympia, London.

The organisers of the show said: “It’s been heartening to see the growth of so many independent vegan traders and suppliers, many of whom have grown up with VegfestUK over the years.

“Veganism is moving into exciting times and we are very thrilled to welcome the core of the vegan business community to Olympia to showcase the best of the vegan way of life and to meet the ever-increasing demand from consumers, trade and media.”

VegfestUK Trade will consist of six different areas, including the vegan celebrity zone, plant-based chefs corner and the independent retailers lounge, hosted by experts in their field.

Karin Ridgers, VegfestUK presenter and host of the vegan celebrity zone, said: “If eateries want more bums on seats they must cater for vegans now - a jacket potato or plain pasta and tomato sauce is no longer acceptable.

“Vegans have money to spend like everyone else and we tell everyone when we are catered for well too. It’s like having a non paid PR team when you cater for vegans!”

Speakers will aim to educate the trade why and how to cater for vegans and why and how to include vegan friendly products in their business.

The show’s organisers anticipate 160 stallholders and the attendance of around 2,000 trade buyers and media representatives.
