In celebration of National Tea Day today (April 21st), Premier Inn has found that London tops the list of which UK cities drink the most tea and the nation’s favourite brew strength.
In the research, Premier Inn found London drinks 25.9 million cups of tea a day. Leeds comes second with 3.7 million cups and Leeds comes third with 2.6 million cups drunk a day.
The research revealed that a quarter of people in the UK drink at least five cups of tea every day and the amount of tea Brits drink in a year would fill 50,000 swimming pools.
In the survey of 1,000 people in the UK, the nations favourite brew strength was also revealed as number three on the tea colour chart below.
