Success at Springboard awards

Abstract
London's Firmdale Hotels, Compass Group UK & Ireland, and Four Seasons in Canary Wharf were among the winners of this year's Springboard Award's for Excellence, handed out last week.
Springboard promotes careers in hospitality, leisure, tourism and travel in the UK, particularly to young people. Firmdale Hotels won the Best Career Progression Award, whilst contract catering giant, Compass Group UK & Ireland, walked away with two awards for Diversity in Employment and Corporate Citizenship. Meanwhile Four Seasons Hotel Canary Wharf picked up The Education Award, along with Liverpool Marriott Hotel South. Other winners included Michael Bray and the members of Springboard's London Advisory Board who scooped the Chris Beaumont Award, Sally Bowden from The Renaissance Hotel, Manchester, who claimed the Ambassador Award, and Trafford College taking the Best Regional Initiative along with Cornwall College winning the Young People Award. Anne Pierce, chief executive of Springboard commented on these achievements: "These winners are an example of how our industry can continue to drive forward and grow by utilising of innovative methods to ensure we continue to have a productive and diverse workforce."
