It reported that the name Knead Bakes has been used by a business set up in 2014 that makes home-made crumpets which are supplied to Selfridges, Fortnum & Mason plus coffee shops and restaurants.
When the owner, Anita Janusic, later attempted to trademark the Knead name she was approached by SSP, says the Sunday Times story, which objected to her plans having already secured the trademark.
Hollywood plans to open his new concept at Euston Station in London on September 22nd.
Open daily for breakfast and lunch, the menu will focus on British classics and serve hand-crafted barista coffee, bacon sandwiches, handmade pies, mash and gravy, sausage rolls sold by the inch, deli sandwiches, as well as freshly baked pastries and cakes.
