Abstract
Event and food specialists at Aberdeen Football Club, Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events, has introduced a fundraising initiative which sees five pence of every pie sale donated to the club’s Community Trust.

Over 50,000 fans enjoyed a pie during games at Aberdeen’s Pittodrie stadium last season and Sodexo said they are hoping even more fans purchase ‘Pittodrie Pies’ this season knowing that they would also be "supporting a great community initiative."

The Community Trust, which became the official charity partner of Aberdeen FC in 2014, is actively involved in a range of projects across Aberdeen that encourage physical activities and promotes positive health, fitness and wellbeing.

Kenny Garden, general manager at Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events, said: “We recognise the invaluable work that the Trust carries out across the community and wanted to increase our involvement and support this season.

“Previously, we have fundraised for them through collection cans at our kiosks on match days. However, we felt the pie donation was a more focused campaign that would involve everyone and highlight how we can all get involved.

“We really hope we can get more match day visitors enjoying pies this season knowing the good cause it will support.”
