Sodexo Prestige and Events appoints Brian Martin as Hamilton Park Racecourse general manager

Sodexo Prestige and Events, the catering and events specialist, has announced Brian Martin has been appointed to the role of general manager at Hamilton Park Racecourse, near Glasgow.

In the role, Martin will lead the venue team and will be responsible for the running of race day and non-race day events, including meetings and conferences, on behalf of Sodexo.

David Trotter, account director with Sodexo Prestige and Events, said: “Brian is joining Hamilton Park Racecourse at a very exciting time. We have recently completed a major refurbishment, updating our restaurant, events, suits and meeting spaces to provide modern, elegant facilities for raceday and non-raceday guests.

“Brian has an enviable track record of delivering first-class hospitality and events services and brings with him a host of experience of working in sporting venues across the region.”

Martin’s appointment comes after Sodexo has extended its partnership with the racecourse for a further 10 year.

Martin’s previous experience includes 16 years at Cordia Service, delivering hospitality services for Glasgow City Council, and as hospitality services manager at Glasgow Emirates Arena.
