Abstract
The Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events catering team at Huddersfield’s John Smith’s Stadium are preparing to tackle one of their biggest events yet, as England take on New Zealand in the RFL Four Nations tournament.

More than 24,500 fans are expected to descend on the stadium on 29th October for the opening match of the tournament.

The catering team are expecting to serve 2,500 pies, 1,000 hot dogs and 1,500 meal deals across the stadium’s 19 retail outlets, all of which will be washed down with 4,000 pints of beer and lager and over 4,500 hot drinks.

Jacqui Page, sales and marketing manager for Sodexo Prestige, said: “Even by the stadium’s standards this is a massive catering exercise and it’s not just about quantity, it’s about quality.

“However, our team is highly experienced and really looking forward to providing superb food for a capacity crowd.”

The team is also expecting around 1,000 corporate guests who will watch the match in the venue’s six function suites and 42 boxes and will enjoy a three course meal, designed specifically for the occasion.
