Abstract
Hospitality provider, Sodexo, has opened its first Crussh outlet at the University of London since singing a franchise partnership with the healthy food and drink chain last year.

Located in the university’s main building (Northampton Square, London), the new outlet builds on Sodexo’s offering, having provided its catering and hospitality services there since 2014.

Breakfast dishes include porridge and scrambled/ poached eggs; while all-day options include salads, wraps, toasties, hot pots, soups and ‘fit bowls’.

Simon Knight, Sodexo UK & Ireland managing director, universities, said: “We are delighted to welcome Crussh at City, University of London.

“The university is committed to promoting healthier eating habits for both staff and students, and the introduction of Crussh as one of our catering offers helps support the university to achieve this.”

Sodexo ambassador and former England rugby player, Matt Dawson, was at the opening, to teach guests about healthy eating and diet.

Knight added: “Matt Dawson is an ambassador for Sodexo, having him with us on our opening day helped us engage with the staff and students about the importance a healthy diet and lifestyle has on their performance.

“We are looking forward to bringing this innovative and healthy brand to more of our clients and customers in the near future.”

Crussh chief executive, Shane Kavanagh, commented: “We are delighted to open our first university outlet.

“We know the university well and it’s really exciting to be able to introduce healthy, nutritious food to the campus.

“We can’t wait to get going and think this is a great opportunity to positively impact the wellbeing of students and staff onsite.”
