Abstract
Services company Sodexo has made two new appointments within its Scottish and Northern Ireland (NI) sports and leisure division, in attempt to “bolster its stadia and racecourse teams at Aberdeen Football Club, and across its sports portfolio.”

Joining the team in the newly created role of catering services director at Aberdeen Football Club, Euan Stewart will help further build the company’s 20-year relationship with the club, and “demonstrate its commitment to supporting further growth at Pittodrie Stadium.”

Having held various hospitality roles over the past 20 years, Sodexo said that Stewart “brings a wealth of hospitality, project management and business development experience” to the company.

Meanwhile, current employee Derek Coulter has been promoted from Scottish buying liaison manager in its Sports and Leisure division to account manager for stadia and racecourses in Scotland and NI. Having worked at the company for 32 years, the role will give him responsibility for Sodexo’s operations at venues including: Aberdeen Football Club; Hamilton Park Racecourse; Hampden Park; Perth Racecourse; Windsor Park Football Stadium, as well as Dundee and Dundee United Football clubs.

David Trotter, divisional director for Sodexo Sports and Leisure Scotland and NI, said: “We have two very strong individuals taking on important roles in the business that are pivotal to supporting our growth plans for Scotland and NI over the next few years.

“Both Derek and Euan bring a wealth of experience to their roles and teams and I’m very much looking forward to kick-starting 2018 with the extended senior team now in place.”
