A four course meal was provided at the Glittering ‘Mess’ Dinner to 350 guests and the event rose over £5,000 for the charity which offers support to those who serve in the armed forces.
Samantha Doyle, sales and marketing manager for Sodexo Prestige Venues and Events at the stadium, said: “We were delighted to work with the Royal British Legion to hold this first-of-its-kind event at St James’ Park.
“The North East has long and proud links with the services, which pulled out all the stops to put on a glittering and impressive event. We’re received some superb feedback from guests and everyone who was there will remember the evening for a very long time to come.”
The menu featured butter roasted breast of chicken stuffed with spinach and cheese and served with fondant potato, roasted root vegetables, buttered cabbage and a sage cream sauce.
Sodexo Prestige and Events provides hospitality for over 50 venues across the UK including the Amex Stadium, Brighton and Royal Ascot.
