Abstract
Services company Sodexo has revealed plans for its second Quality of Life conference - taking place in the UK for the first time this month (16-17 October).

Exploring ideas and initiatives that can “improve the wellbeing of employees across all sectors of society,” the conference “will bring together thought leaders from different countries and walks of life” to present “solutions for the needs of corporate employees, students, seniors, patients and citizens.”

Included in the line-up are high-profile speakers such as Ray Kurzweil (author, inventor, thinker and futurist), Professor Sir Cary Cooper (Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester) and David Gram (former senior innovation director at The Lego Group’s Future Lab), who will share their views and experiences about improving quality of life and creating a more prosperous future for all. Jane Fonda (actress, writer and political activist) will also give a keynote speech entitled: “Six Insights Driving the Future of Quality of Life,” and will participate on the panel discussion, “Designing Life Through the Ages.”

Taking place 16-17 October at Old Billingsgate, London, it follows the success of the first Quality of Life conference in New York in 2015.

Regional Chairman for Sodexo UK & Ireland, Sean Haley, said: “Improving quality of life is our core mission – we believe it is a key aspect of individual and collective performance and that investing in the wellbeing of employees is central to workplace performance.

“Building on our first conference in New York in 2015, this year’s two-day conference will look at measurable and realistic ways to make progress and we’re thrilled to be joined by inspiring speakers from across the globe who will be sharing their knowledge and experience.”
