Abstract
The shortlist for the 2016 Footprint Awards has been announced, revealing the foodservice and hospitality sector’s leading responsible business initiatives.

The awards honour the achievements of companies in the area of sustainability and responsible business practice and are open to organisations at every stage in the food supply chain.

There are 13 awards in total, 11 open to nominations, and two – the Community Vote and Special Achievement Award, which are in the hands of the public and a special team of Footprint judges.

Footprint’s Nick Fenwicke-Clennell said: “We are so proud of the support we have received through an ever increasing number of entries from an expanding number of business within the food sector.

"We have always said that Footprint Awards is a barometer of responsible business activity in our sector and what’s clear more than ever is that those not meaningfully engaged in sustainability are being left behind.“
