Abstract
Searcys 1847 has announced that it will not continue its contract with Mercedes-Benz World (MBW).
The contract catering firm said the decision followed MBW's desire to shift the contract away from a management fee to a more commercial business. Duncan Ackery, Chief Executive of Searcys 1847 said that the economic downturn has had an effect: "We have enjoyed building the business with MBW but have to take a prudent approach to our planning in the current climate. "As such, we have chosen not to progress the existing partnership with MBW. We wish them well in the next phase of their business." The contract with Mercedes-Benz World was for two 'fuelling stations' at the Brooklands racing circuit in Weybridge, Surrey.
