Abstract
Monmouthshire County Council has praised the work of The Real Soup Company after adding it to the menu of its delivered meals service.

The Monmouthshire Meals service delivers around 2,000 meals a month to people who need extra support at home and each recipient receives a lunchtime meal, 365 days a year.

The Real Soup Company supplies Monmouthshire Meals with five flavours, including tomato and basil, thai chicken and lentil, in 380g single-serve pots which can be heated in the microwave and eaten straight out of the pot.

Pauline Batty, catering manager at Monmouthshire County Council and Welsh regional chair of the National Association of Care Caterers (NACC), said: “The soups are a nutritious and delicious snack or meal option at any time of the day.

"We have to be very aware of all the different dietary needs that a group this large can present, so the food we’re serving has to be of a high quality in terms of nutritional content and must also conform to strict food and allergen legislation The Real Soup Co. fits the bill perfectly.”

The Council has now extended its partnership with the soup company to include a residential school.
