Abstract
Pritchitts, the foodservice division of Lakeland Dairies, teamed up with Bidfood to put on an afternoon tea at Dukes Court Care Home, Northamptonshire, to show support for Nutrition and Hydration Week.

The 60 residents at the Dukes Court, owned and operated by national care provider Avery Healthcare, were offered a selection of cakes made by Wayne Child, Pritchitts’ development chef.

Simon Muschamp, head of marketing at Pritchitts, said: “We were delighted to take part in the global tea party and join Bidfood and Avery Healthcare in promoting Nutrition and Hydration Week. Pritchitts has been campaigning about fortification and the importance of nutrition in care for several years now, listening to the needs of the sector and developing products in response to these requirements.

“It was fantastic to see the residents enjoying the afternoon tea and our thanks go to Avery Healthcare for inviting us.”

The recipes were created using Pritchitts’ Millac Gold Double, a cream alternative with added vitamin D.
