Abstract
To celebrate Ambrosia’s 100-year anniversary, owner brand Premier Foods is launching a competition open exclusively to the foodservice market, to be in with the chance of winning a year’s supply of custard for their outlet.

To enter, all businesses must do is submit their name, name and address of the business outlet, email address and wholesaler details via the Premier Foods website before 31 October.

To also mark the occasion, a new ‘Ambrosia Desserts Guide’ is being published featuring 10 of Premier Foods’s executive chef, Mark Rigby’s, favourite Ambrosia recipes, including: a crumble tart, chilled lemon soufflé, bread and butter pudding as well as a baked Alaska.

Sarah Robb, channel marketing manager at Premier Foods said: “Our competition is a great opportunity for chefs to get involved in celebrating this landmark with us. With the brand reaching its 100th year, we thought what better way to celebrate its Devonshire heritage and versatility than by creating a guide full of history, recipes and hints and tips to accompany the competition.”

Serving over 600,000 portions of Ambrosia custard and rice pudding in UK pubs and restaurants, schools and care homes every day, it is still produced in Lifton, Devon as it has been since launching in 1917.

Chefs and caterers can download the guide and enter the competition at www.premierfoodservice.co.uk.
