Pidy launches third annual Ride for Hope charity ride to Belgium
Abstract
Pidy, a manufacturer of ready-to-fill pastry cases for the foodservice market, has announced the launch of 2016’s Ride 4 Hope, in which a team of amateur cyclists are aiming to raise money for a local homeless charity by covering over 300 miles from Northampton to Ypres in Belgium.

With 40 cyclists of mixed abilities expected to join this year’s event, it is hoped that ‘Ride 4 Hope 2016’ is will raise £25,000-£30,000 for The Hope Centre charity.

The Hope Centre is a Northampton based charity, working to relieve poverty and tackle the causes of homelessness in the city.

Robert Whittle, general manager of Pidy UK, said: “Pidy UK is delighted to once again be organising the Ride 4 Hope in aid of the fantastic work done by The Hope Centre in Northampton. With this year’s event being bigger and better than ever before, we are looking for a team of around 40 cyclists to join us on the four day event.

“Split into two teams based on ability, cyclists will sample some of Europe’s most historic sites, take on a highly rewarding challenge and raise money for a truly exceptional cause. With just a couple of months to go, now is the time to pledge your support and join our friendly team for your chance to do something extraordinary.”

Ride 4 Hope 2016 is also supported by Action Express who are providing a lorry and driver to accompany the trip, carrying riders’ clothes, food and spares as well as carting the bikes back following the trip.
