Abstract
Penny Moore, CEO of Hospitality Action, is to step down later this year after 13 years.

In this time the charity has grown from a benevolent charity with a turnover of 760k and 514 beneficiaries to an organisation with an income of £1.7m that supports over 2000 beneficiaries financially and more than 100,000 current and former industry colleagues via its employee assistance programme and welfare services.

“I have felt hugely privileged for the past 13 years. It has been so rewarding to work within this great industry increasing the awareness of the charity and promoting the work of Hospitality Action” said Moore.

"It has been an amazing experience to work with a fantastic team and have the support of the great people in the hospitality industry. I feel the time is now right to step aside and hand over to someone who will continue to develop the charity in the future. The end of our 180th birthday year seemed an appropriate time!"

Hospitality Action’s chair of trustees, William Baxter CBE said: "I would like to thank Penny for her time with Hospitality Action, during which the charity has greatly increased its fundraising and services to make it relevant to today’s industry and to help more people in times of need. We shall continue to build on her tremendous achievements and wish her continued success in the future."
