Operon wins £1.4m studio contract

Operon Catering has won a four-year contract to provide bar, restaurant and hospitality catering services at 3 Mills Studios in East London.
Worth in the region of £1.4 million, this is the fifth London client for Operon Catering, bringing the group total to 22. Supported by the London Development Agency, another Operon client, 3 Mills Studios is London's largest studio. Set on a 20-acre site and offering 15 stages, this niche studio attracts a varied client base across film, television, theatre and music. Recent credits include 28 Weeks Later, Sunshine, Eastern Promises, It's A Free World, The Bill. Hell's Kitchen, Billy Elliot The Musical, Wicked, The Lord of the Rings, KT Tunstall, Amy Winehouse and much more. Operon will be catering for up to 200 people in a typical day and many more during work on large-scale productions. Joe Mead, managing director of Operon Catering, said: "This unique opportunity offers Operon Catering the facility to grow its business in the media and film industry to whom a quality food service solution is extremely important.
