New healthy eating options for North West Wales

6th Nov 2008 - 00:00
Abstract
The North West Wales NHS Trust is changing its food and drink options to give patients and visitors more healthy options.
The healthier options will be made available at dining rooms in all of the Trust's hospitals as well as WRVS shops and snack outlets. Some of the more unhealthy foods and drinks will also be removed from vending machines and replaced with healthier options Martin Jones, Chief Executive of the North West Wales NHS Trust said: "This is one of our first steps to encourage a more wholesome approach to our own catering services and those provided in partnership with the WRVS. "We have a responsibility to the community we serve to promote the health benefits of good nutrition and we hope the public, our patients and visitors support us with this initiative."
