The museum has restored the original 1956 carriage to reproduce the lavish style of 19th Century rail travel. With covers for 24, The Countess of York will be available for evening hire for corporate and private dining, whilst serving luxury afternoon tea during museum hours. Caterers Levy Restaurants, part of the Compass Group, will provide taster tea afternoons alongside a fine dining menu, with all ingredients sourced from local Yorkshire suppliers.

The National Railway museum in York attracts over 700,000 visitors per year with Levy able to offer catering facilities for over 350 guests at any time.
