Abstract
The Mount Charles-run Fed & Watered at the Obel Building in Belfast has been named Ireland’s ‘Contract Catering Café of the Year’ at the Irish Café Quality Food Awards 2016 held in Dublin on September 8th.

Mount Charles has been operating Fed & Watered in Belfast’s tallest building, the Obel, as part of a contract between the company and international law firm Allen & Overy to service their 500 strong workforce in the building, as well as to facilitate all of their hospitality and event requirements.

Nicola Looby, operations manager at Mount Charles who collected the award, said: “It’s a huge endorsement of the quality of our offering and a clear demonstration that recent investments we’ve made, both in terms of technology and in house talent, have paid off.

“We are extremely proud of the team, led by unit manager Carol Ferguson, whose commitment and passion for driving this successful café forward is second to none. Our competitors in this category were all multinational organisations, so it’s great to get the recognition that our locally owned company is ahead of the pack.”

Fed & Watered can also be found in Titanic Belfast, Belfast International Airport, City of Derry Airport and Exeter Airport.
