Moneysupermarket launches sQuid electronic smart card

7th Jan 2011 - 00:00
Abstract
Price comparison website Moneysupermarket.com has launched a sQuid electronic contactless smart card for its staff.
The sQuid cards enable staff to pay for food and drink at their new in house staff restaurant, Bytes. A new Uniwell catering till system, integrated with the sQuid eMoney platform, enables staff to top up their card and pay with sQuid by simply holding it against a contactless reader. Card holders can also top up their sQuid accounts online back at their desks and check their transactions if they wish. Alan Cairns, HR director at moneysupermarket.com, said: "Offering our staff new sQuid cards has allowed us to give them leading edge technology that complements our new in house staff restaurant facility, offering them convenience and a great service too." Bede Feltham, marketing director at sQuid, added: "We are absolutely delighted to be working with moneysupermarket.com. We are now providing our electronic payment services to schools, universities and business campuses, across the country, and helping to make the lives of our customers easier with smart cashless solutions."
