Lord’s strengthens teams with new appointments
Abstract
Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), owner of Lord’s Cricket Ground, has strengthened its hospitality and events teams with a flurry of new appointments.

Nick Kenton, head of sales for meetings, events and hospitality at MCC, said: “Following England’s regaining of the Ashes, it’s been a great summer of events at Lord’s and we’re delighted to welcome a number of new team members to the fold.

“They bring a wealth of experience to Lord’s across both match day hospitality and meetings and events, so I’m excited to start working with them.”

Sophie Swallow joins the team as hospitality sales manager from the London Cocktail Club where she held the position of financial controller.

Zoe Ward joins the team in the position of meetings and events sales manager from Fulham Football Club where she worked for nine years heading up event sales, as well as working on sales for match day hospitality.

James Glover is taking on the role of hospitality sales executive from Laverstoke Park Farm where he worked as account manager for ex-Formula One World Champion Jody Scheckter.

Harry Reid joins the team as meetings and events sales executive from London venue the Amadeus where he worked in operations and sales.

Finally, Laurie Thompson has been promoted to the role of event co-ordinator from her previous role as hospitality co-ordinator at Lord’s.
