Abstract
Lexington Catering has added a new range of vegan products to its core grab & go and Grains&Greens brands to celebrate Veganuary.

The additions include a crispy fried seitan, roasted tomato and sriracha mayo wrap and a roasted cauliflower and nutmeg soup with garlic croutons.

The London-based firm says each product is clearly labelled so it is quick and easy for customers to identify vegan options.

Lexington Catering is one of a number of foodservice operators and wholesalers to have got involved in the annual charity initiative, Veganuary, which encourages consumers to remove meat from their diets for the month of January.

It is the second year the company has embraced the scheme. In 2017, many Lexington sites reported that sales of their vegan soup increased by 100% during the month.

Rob Kirby, chef director at Lexington Catering, said: “We are excited to be rolling out a number of new vegan products to both our grab & go and Grains&Greens range this year, following on from the successful launch of new vegan products throughout 2017.

“Whether it’s vegetarian, vegan or gluten free these options are no longer special requests but form part of our core offerings. We’ve shown vegan dishes can taste amazing and we’re excited to see how customers respond to the new products.”
