Kraft Philadelphia targets young chefs for its 2012 competition

Kraft Foods’ leading soft white cheese brand, Philadelphia, will again be the ingredient for success in its second national competition for young chefs.
The competition, held in association with the Craft Guild of Chefs and City & Guilds, aims to reward the innovation and creativity of talented trainee chefs in full time education aged between 17 and 23. Competitors must register online and then enter their recipe design using Philadelphia for a starter or main course that showcases their inventiveness. Those shortlisted will take part in a live cook off, which will be judged by a panel of culinary experts that will include leading Craft Guild chefs. The overall winner will be awarded £500, a Philadelphia chef's jacket, publicity that includes their recipe and an interview on the Philadelphia Professional website, plus 12 months complimentary Craft Guild of Chefs membership. All the runners up will receive £200, a Philadelphia chef's jacket, their recipes online, plus 12 months complimentary Craft Guild of Chefs membership.
