Chefs, caterers and bakers are being encouraged to upload a recipe and picture of their most creative pies before February 28th for the chance to be crown Britain’s Pie Pride Champion and take home a £500 cash prize.
Chris Braeger, sector controller for foodservice, General Mills UK Ltd, said: “This year we want to celebrate everyone’s pie pride, whether it’s original or just plain quirky!
“From pastry horns for steak pie, apple shaped pastry cases for apple pie to delicate lavender infused lids we are looking forward to seeing what the country’s pie makers are working on for this year’s pie celebrations and rewarding one lucky pie maker.”
The winner will be chosen at random and will receive the coveted British Pie Week trophy and the possibility of having their pie featured in Jus-Rol’s British Pie Week 2017 recipe book.
