Jockey Club Catering new venture launch Cheltenham Racecourse
Abstract
Racecourse contract catering specialist Jockey Club Catering has launched a new bar and tapas food outlet, Quevega’s, at Cheltenham Racecourse.

The new outlet, named after the horse who won six races in a row at the festival from 2009 to 2014, offers a wide range of tapas platters and an extensive wine list.

Sophia Brudenell, communications manager at Cheltenham Racecourse, said: “We are very excited to introduce the first stages of our redevelopment. Our new facilities will provide racegoers with more choice of food and drink and ensures guests are able to make the most of their time at Cheltenham.”

The opening of the new space on November 14th comes as the racecourse reveals the second stage of a £45 million redevelopment of the site, including the creation of a new five-and-a-half storey grandstand, due to be completed in March 2016.

Last month the racecourse opened the See You Then bar at The Showcase, which is situated above Quevega’s and is the longest fixed bar on site at 22 metres long.

Nick Campbell, chief operations at Jockey Club Catering said: “2014 has been a significant year for Cheltenham Racecourse. The ongoing development to our food and drink offering highlights our commitment to providing the very best facilities.”

Jockey Club Catering is a joint venture between Jockey Club Racecourses and Compass Group UK & Ireland providing food and beverages across The Jockey Club’s 15 racecourses.
