Jockey Club Catering creates Great British Picnics for summer events season
Abstract
Jockey Club Catering will introduce a new picnic range for The Investec Derby Festival at Epsom Downs Racecourse later this week.

The Great British Picnic range has been developed in celebration of The Queen’s 90th birthday and to coincide with ‘The Greatest Flat Race in the World’.

Helen Hutchinson, Jockey Club Catering general manager at Epsom Downs Racecourse, said: “There’s always a sense with The Investec Derby Festival that it signals the beginning of summer, and what better way to mark it than with introduction of a new picnic range – the ultimate al fresco dining experience.

“For this year’s Festival we wanted to champion the British summer, whilst acknowledging The Queen’s 90th birthday. We feel picnics – combined with exciting horse racing over the two days – is the perfect way to mark the occasion.”

Racegoers can choose from a range of handmade picnics including a Great British Afternoon Tea, featuring finger sandwiches, cakes and traditional scones with jam and clotted cream.
