National food and drink specialist JJ Food Service has expanded its fresh fruits and vegetables ranges to offer more choice and quality to restaurants, retailers, hotels, pubs, schools and other caterers.
Previously, the wholesaler was sourcing products via a third party supplier but following rapid growth in demand, the business now deals directly with growers.
Chief products officer Ali Guvemli said: “Our fresh fruit and vegetable volume sales have almost doubled over the past twelve months and we have responded by removing the middle man and doubling our range.
“We now work with 16 different growers, including British suppliers. This has enabled us to procure more carefully, improve availability and offer highly-competitive pricing.”
