PS100 Group Meals on Wheels report
Abstract
The PS100 Group has published a report in conjunction with the National Association of care Catering (NACC) that seeks to assess the impact on meals on wheels services of local authority funding cuts.

It looks at the benefits that meals on wheels provide – from both a physical and mental health standpoint – and analyses the extent to which the service has been affected over the last five years by the Government’s ‘austerity programme’.

It argues that investment in the service now will provide long-term economic benefit – cutting the burden on the NHS and social care services by helping the elderly and vulnerable to live independently for longer.
