Hospitality industry gets behind Springboard UK

Abstract
Springboard, the charity that helps young, unemployed and disadvantaged people to find careers in the hospitality industry, is challenging colleagues from all over the sector to an opportunity of a lifetime – to climb the Great Wall of China in March.
The keen trekkers signed up to date include Tim Adams, 3663; Maria Bracken, Dewberry Redpoint; Harry Baird, Hit; training; Andrew Batchelor, Lancaster London; Martyn Bolton, Booker; Robbie Dickson, Compass; Krishnan Doyle, Core Recruitment; Rachel Kingdon-Saxy, Sharwoods; Jane Leeming, Compass; Ron Hickey, Booker. Others are Fiona Hopkinson, Talkington Bates; Gemma Lockwood, DRP Group; David Noble, Gauntlet Insurance; Paulo Peretti, SSP UK; Jay Ramsey, Core Recruitment; Stewart Smallwood, Elior; Sophie Taylor, The Flour Station; Dragica Trifunovic, Sodexo; Darren Ungless, 3663; Lorraine Wood, ARENA. The challenge, which takes place from 25 March to 3 April, starts in Jinshanling with a trek involving climbing thousands of steps that loops along the mountains either side of the Gubeikou Gateway. Each day they will trek 12kms. Each participant also has the demanding challenge of raising a staggering £7,000 each for Springboard.
