Abstract
Catering equipment manufacturer Hobart UK has been awarded by the Government Procurement Service (GPS) a framework agreement to supply to the public sector food preparation, prime cooking, and warewashing and waste disposal kit.

The foodservice equipment specialist was chosen following a formal tender process and was successful in all three of the lots it tendered for.

David Riley, who is responsible for warewash and food prep equipment at the company said: “We have been working in partnership with the Government sector for over a century – in fact our first customer in the UK was a hospital.

“To have been successful on all three lots for food preparation, cooking, warewashing and waste disposal is an enormous achievement and a reflection of our catering equipment excellence.”

Ian Garner, managing director of the Hobart UK cooking eqiuipment, added: “We are delighted to extend our long-standing relationship with GPS and to be considered suitable to supply catering equipment under the three lots.”

And colleague Roger Kellow, the supplier’s government business manager added: “We understand and appreciate every sector has its own needs, given the scope and demands of the public sector procurement, it was right to demand excellence of the supply chain.

“One of the unique aspects of our operation is that we have dedicated government business managers. There’s a vast amount of experience and knowledge in the team, which means we have an unrivalled level of expertise in this area.”

Hobart UK claims to be a market leader in commercial catering equipment, manufacturing cooking equipment, warewashers and food preparation machines, whose cooking brands manufactured by the group include Bonnet, Maestro, MBM and Elro.
