Munro will take up the position in July after resigning from his position as managing director of ScoMac Catering Equipment.
He said: “I have been presented with an exciting new career opportunity and feel that I will be joining a business at a good stage in its development of its distributor network, to which I believe I can bring my experience to grow and develop this even further.’
In the role, Munro will be responsible for developing the success of the company’s portfolio of brands including Bonnet, Hobart and ELRO.
He added: “My initial focus will be on maintaining the growth of the cooking business and building on Hobart’s unrivalled reputation among caterers for technological development, product innovation and equipment quality.
“I am very much looking forward to joining Hobart Cooking Solutions."
