First look at The Restaurant Show
Abstract
The Restaurant Show, taking place 30 September-2 October at Olympia London, will return for 2019 attracting thousands of visitors.

Over the past 30 years The Restaurant Show has united chefs and restaurateurs for a three-day event, which explores the latest ‘innovations’ and topical debates surrounding the industry.

European-style foods halls have been tipped as one of the biggest trends to hit the UK. Thomas Rose, a 'sector specialist', will be joined on stage by a panel of experts to discuss how ‘sustainable’ the trend is.

Staff shortages in the hospitality industry are regularly in the news and it is important chefs and restaurateurs don’t forget to invest in their staff. There will be a panel show chaired by Jill Whittaker from HIT Training ltd that will explore how teaching and upskilling staff boosts efficiency, profits and employees’ prospects.

Visitors will have the chance to attend a panel show on the plant-powered revolution. The Restaurant Show provides a ‘unique opportunity’ to get informed and be enthused by those at the forefront of this expanding movement.

The Restaurant Show will also host The National Chef of the Year final in front of a live audience and for the first time chefs will compete to become the UK candidate for the Bocuse d’Or Continental in Estonia 2020.

Last year, over 75% of visitors rated The Restaurant Show’s exhibitions as ‘excellent’ for finding new products and services, with nearly half intending on placing orders with at least one of the exhibitors they met at the show.
