Abstract
A number of former England and Wales rugby union internationals have been announced for Hospitality Action’s inaugural 'Rugby Legend Dinner' held on 9 April at Deer Park Country House Hotel in Devon.

Retired England players Phil Vickery, Jeremy Guscott, Nigel Redman and David ‘Flats’ Flatman are among those who will be in attendance, along with former Wales scrum half Matt Powell.

Completing the line-up of ‘legends’ at the fundraising dinner are ex internationals Alex Brown, Trevor Woodman and Andy Hazell, plus former England coach Jack Rowell

While prop turned TV pundit Flatman is due to be the lead guest speaker at the event, the food will be provided by seven chefs from the south west of England.

The four-course dinner will be prepared by Paul Ainsworth of Paul Ainsworth at Number 6, Dominic Chapman of The Beehive, Josh Eggleton of The Pony & Trap, Jude Kereama of Kota and Kota Kai, Nathan Outlaw of Restaurant Nathan Outlaw, Guy Owen of The Idle Rocks, and Michael Wignall formerly of Gidleigh Park.

The menu features a delicate smoked fish platter by Nathan Outlaw and a stuffed saddle of lamb, beer braised onions, pressed potato, wild garlic and mint sauce by Josh Eggleton.

“I’m super excited to speak at Hospitality Action’s inaugural Rugby Legends Dinner,” said Flatman.

“It’s going to be a fantastic night with amazing food prepared by seven award-winning chefs. If you haven’t already booked your place then crack on, spots are limited and the food is going to be mega.”

Two Michelin-starred chef Wignall added: “I jumped at the chance to cook at this fantastic dinner. It’s not every day you get so many big names under one roof! It's going to be a brilliant night, for such a good cause, I know everyone lucky enough to get a ticket is going to have a great time.”
