Essential Cuisine’s North West Young Chef 2017 finalists revealed

Six finalists that will compete in the Essential Cuisine’s North West Young Chef 2017 final have been revealed.

The chefs, including 2016 winner Daniela Tucci, will go head to head in the final, which will take place at Manchester College’s Fielden Campus on May 25th.

 

Brian Mellor, chairman of the judges, said: “We adapted the competition this year to find the best in the North West and with the two semi-finals taken place, it looks like we’re achieving that.

 

“The quality and intensity of the cook off could have easily been the final, with the passion and dedication really shining through.”

 

The winner of the North West Young Chef for 2017, the winner will receive £500 and will automatically for the semi-finals of the Craft Guild of Chefs’ Young National Chef of the Year competition.

Essential Cuisine, based in the north west of England, produce stock, gravies, jus and glaces for both retail and the foodservice industry.
