Abstract
Tullibardine Restaurant at Blair Castle and The Victorian Kitchen at Glamis Castle have won EatScotland approval for excellence in food and high standards in service.
The two restaurants are managed by catering company Prestige Scotland, Sodexho's event and venue operating arm. They have gained their recognition in the food quality assurance scheme which assesses the presentation, quality and service of food in all eating establishments in Scotland and warrants those that meet the correct standards with the EatScotland logo of approval. In Blair Castle, Perthshire, The Tullibardine Restaurant was described as "modern, contemporary yet welcoming", and praised for its standard of food and well trained and attentive staff. The award citation added: "It was obviously the ethos of the establishment to use local good quality produce." The Victorian Kitchen at Glamis Castle, known for its traditional Scottish delicacies, was particularly commended for its food, use of good quality local produce, dutiful staff and the "altogether pleasurable experience provided". David Adams, manager of Glamis Castle said: "Joining EatScotland confirms our commitment to serving the very best of local and home made specialties to the thousands of Tourists who visit us at Glamis Castle every year." Prestige Scotland managing director Alyson Cawley added: "Of the many establishments the length and breadth of Scotland, The Victorian Kitchen and Tullibardine are two of only a few places eligible to participate in the EatScotland scheme because they meet its rigorous standards not only in terms of good quality food, but also ambience, cleanliness and service. "We are so proud to be serving such iconic venues and the EatScotland recognition really underlines our growing reputation for delivering them with fine food, excellent ingredients and service of an outstanding quality."
