Abstract
Chicago Town parent brand, Dr. Oetker Professional, has signed up to the Soil Association’s Food for Life Supplier Scheme “to help caterers deliver enjoyable and nutritional meals.”

With no “undesirable food additives, hydrogenated fats or GM ingredients,” the Chicago Town balanced choice pizza, raw dough pizza base and Wellcare mixes have all met Food for Life Served Here standards, meaning that caterers can now use them to help them achieve a Food for Life Served Here award.

Senior brand manager Emma Haworth commented: “We (Dr. Oetker) pride ourselves on working closely with caterers to develop products to help them deliver enjoyable and nutritional meals. We’re excited to be able to extend this partnership even further and back caterers in their bid for a ‘Food for Life Served Here’ award.

“Over 1.7 million Food for Life Served Here meals are cooked up every weekday around the UK. To be recognised by the Soil Association and become an official supplier of this hugely important scheme means a great deal to the team.”

To help satisfy the demand for products that children know and want, Dr. Oetker developed its balanced choice pizza range, which supports the School Food Plan by keeping fat and saturated fat levels to a minimum and delivers consistent results to support school caterers during a busy service.

Likewise, with reduced sugar, no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives, its Wellcare range allows healthcare caterers to provide a variety of desserts and cakes for a range of dietary requirements.
