Abstract
Dairygold Food Ingredients UK LTD (DFI) has announced it is investing in a new dicing and grating line for its Crewe facility.

The dairy product supplier will be using the Holac-manufactued AUT 200 which it says has the capability to produce small, medium and large cubes of cheese, in addition to shavings and grated varieties.

It also features an infeed with a top-press system that enables the machine to press blocks, loose products all of which can be integrated smoothly into existing processing lines.

Keith Stokes, head of operations at DFI UK, said: “As consumer tastes have changed, so too has the demand for cheese to be supplied in a range of formats to suit different needs and applications.

“The introduction of this new line will not only complement our existing manufacturing footprint at Crewe, but will also provide us with a really solid base to meet future customer demand.

Dairygold Food Ingredients has manufacturing facilities in Ireland, Leeds and Crewe, with the latter plant processing in excess of 450 tonnes of grated/diced cheese per week.
