Abstract
An invited audience of more than 170 gathered at the Victoria Park Plaza in London last night to help Cost Sector Catering magazine celebrate its 21st anniversary.

The monthly trade title is the only one that focuses on the high volume catering market, which includes staff restaurants, schools and universities, hospitals, care homes, prisons and the military.

Editor David Foad said: “We’re very proud to have been a media partner through the years to an often unsung part of the hospitality industry, which performs such a vital role.”

Part of the night’s celebrations included awards to recognise the hard work carried out by volunteers that have helped public sector catering industry organisations operate so successfully over the years.

They went to:

* The Hospital Caterer’s Association represented by Chair Andy Jones
* The Lead Association for Catering in Education represented by Chair Carrieanne Bishop
* The National Association for Care Catering represented by Chair Neel Radia
* The University Catering Organisation represented by Julie Barker
