Abstract
Hertfordshire contract catering operator Style Food Service has won a category in the recent Taste of Staffordshire Good Food Awards for its restaurant at the Wedgwood Visitor Centre.

Within a year of the company winning the catering contract to provide services to international and domestic visitors to the Wedgwood Museum and Visitor Centre, Style has been judged to run the Best Restaurant at a Visitor Attraction in the county.

The Taste of Staffordshire Good Food Awards are held each year to celebrate quality and distinctiveness in the food and drink that is produced and served in Staffordshire.

Companies compete for these prestigious awards and are judged for quality and excellence, and particularly their use of locally produced ingredients.

All businesses which enter the Good Food Awards competition have been accredited by Taste of Staffordshire and visited by professionally qualified restaurant inspectors who judge all aspects of the visit including quality of food and drink, service, presentation and use of local produce.

Style operates a full service restaurant and tea rooms at the Wedgwood centre at Barlaston near Stoke on Trent. They also operate a separate coffee shop located in a retail outlet at Festival Park in Etruria and provide a food service to Wedgwood employees at Barlaston.

The citation for the award stated that “the judges found the staff to be helpful and attentive and the food was of a very high standard”.
