17th Nov 2010 - 00:00
Abstract
Sodexo, a leading provider of school meals in the UK and Ireland, has secured two new contracts to provide catering services to Enterprise South Liverpool Academy and Leicester Grammar School.
The contracts, which commenced this autumn, see Sodexo also cater for the 250 members of staff, as well as external and "bespoke" events such as sports events and open evenings. The deal with Enterprise South Liverpool Academy will be for three years and 20 members of staff have been employed at the school to cater for the pupils and staff. Sodexo has introduced their secondary school offer 'For You' at the Academy, which is compliant with government legislation to encourage healthier eating in schools. Andy Edmunds, Sodexo contract manager at Enterprise South Liverpool Academy, commented: "We are thrilled to have secured this contract with Enterprise South Liverpool Academy. "At Sodexo, we pride ourselves on our innovative and progressive approach to our services, and are pleased to be able to partner with a school which places great emphasis on developing students for the workplace." Meanwhile at Leicester Grammar School, Sodexo employs 19 members of staff and as part of the three year contract has introduced its new 'Be' menu offer, which includes a range of fresh and seasonal produce, as well as Red Tractor accredited food and MSC certified fish. From tomorrow (17 November), a new build café-bar serving Costa Coffee for the Sixth Form and parents will also be open. Rebekah Jones, Sodexo catering manager at Leicester Grammar School, added: "Leicester Grammar School provides an outstanding educational offering and we are very much looking forward to developing our relationship with the school. "Sodexo's extensive experience in the market will enable us to provide a service that better suits the needs of the school's diverse pupils."
