Abstract
Food and support services firm Compass UK and Ireland has launched a new range of EatFair products to support the launch of Women’s Leadership School for female farmers in Africa.

The new-recipe bars come in seven different flavours, including dark coconut, rocky road and salted caramel billionaires shortbread and Compass will donate 5p from each bar sold to leaderships projects for women.

The EatFair range of Fairtrade cakes and biscuits from Compass has raised over £150,000 since its launch in 2013.

Louise Pilkington, marketing director at Compass Group UK and Ireland, said: “Our new look EatFair snack bars are not only delicious, but also ethically sourced.

“We are committed to raising £50,000 through donating 5p from each snack bar we sell and we hope this will go a long way to improving gender equality in cocoa growing communities through the Fairtrade Africa’s Women’s Leadership school.”

Compass has made a commitment to raise £50,000 for the Women’s Leadership School, led by Fairtrade Africa, through the new EatFair range.

The pledge comes after the company launched its Women in Food programme, which aims to support female chefs in the industry, in April 2016.
