Abstract
The Clink Charity, the prisoner rehabilitation initiative, is to serve the homeless and vulnerable during London Food Month, June 1st to 30th, at St Cuthbert’s Centre at Earl’s Court.

The Clink will be working in partnership with Food For Soul’s Refettorio Felix, the community kitchen in London and innovation of chef Massimo Bottura, to deliver food for the vulnerable using surplus ingredient from June 5th.

Chris Moore, chief executive of The Clink Charity, said: “We are delighted to be supporting chef Massimo Bottura’s charitable food wastage project for yet another year.

“As a charity and as a hospitality business we always look to work in collaboration with other likeminded organisations and Refettorio, like The Clink, works tirelessly tot change lives for the better.”

Alberto Crisci MBE, director of Clink Events and founder of The Clink’s training restaurant concept, and The Clink HMP Brixton’s head chef Paul Clarkson will be joining Refettorio Felix to cook for the project on June 21st.

The project will provide lunch from Monday to Friday and will aim to serve 2,000 meals using five tonnes of recovered food at the drop in centre.

St Cuthbert’s Centre is currently undergoing refurbishment with an installation of a professional kitchen, which will provide over 30 British chefs with the space to create a three course menu from surplus ingredients.

London Food Month curated by journalist Grace Dent and food writer Tom Parker Bowles will also feature events including Cook For Syria and Young Chef’s Dinner in Chelsea.
