Abstract
The Clink Restaurant has partnered with London Hilton on Park Lane to host a four-course fundraising dinner on Thursday 6 October 2016 at The Clink Restaurant at HMP Brixton.

London Hilton on Park Lane is donating all the produce required for the evening’s menu and Hilton executive chef Anthony Marshall, along with five of their chefs, will join Clink head chef Paul Clarkson and his brigade of trainee chefs in The Clink kitchen. Prisoners training in front of house will be covering dinner service.

Chris Moore, chief executive of The Clink Charity, said: “As a restaurant we look to work with other hospitality businesses who share our passion for education and training, are champions of the industry and appreciate the importance of inspiring more people to pursue a career in hospitality.

"As a charity it’s important to us that we work with other like-minded initiatives so we can collaboratively improve the lives of those in need of help and support. This event is an amalgamation of all of these things and we hope to raise as much money as we can to support the continued work of the charities involved. I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank London Hilton on Park Lane for their valued support in making the fundraising dinner a reality.”

Guests will be welcomed to the restaurant with a non-alcoholic mocktail on arrival and introduced to the work of The Clink Charity by Christopher Moore, chief executive of The Clink Charity, and to HMP Brixton by Governor Giles Mason. A graduate of The Clink’s training programme will talk about how the scheme has helped transform their life with other guest speakers yet to be announced.

All proceeds from event ticket sales will go to The Clink Charity to support the rehabilitation of serving prisoners through work-based hospitality training. All money raised from the evening’s raffle will be donated to the DM Thomas Foundation working closely with Carney’s Community to continue their valuable work in improving the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable people in the UK and across the globe.

Tickets are priced at £50 per person (incl. VAT) and a limited number are available to purchase by emailing brixton@theclinkrestaurant.com. All costs are to be paid in advance.
